Climate
Global warming is the biggest challenge facing the planet. While government efforts focus on heavy industrial emitters of greenhouse gases, Ecotrust Canada is targeting our efforts on rural communities and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which are BC's economic engine accounting for 30 percent of GDP and 58 percent of all private sector jobs.
For visionary entrepreneurs, rising energy costs, carbon taxes and changing consumer preferences can be a business opportunity. Conservation is becoming a competitive advantage: reducing your carbon footprint can cut costs too. Through community energy planning and our Climate Smart business subsidiary, Ecotrust Canada is proving that conservation is everybody's business.
