In the face of unprecedented change in the bioregion and globally, our sister organization in Portland honors the work of preeminent urbanist, activist and author Jane Jacobs by launching the vision of Reliable Prosperity. In the coastal watersheds of British Columbia, reliable prosperity over the last 100 years has been a distant concept. As British Columbians and First Nations come to terms with the colonial legacy of boom and bust, greed and grief, we find inspiration in a vision where our lives and businesses are driven toward the confluence of ecological, cultural, and economic wealth.
